oh, yeah, so it's been like...weeks... hee hee... well, for those of you who have been reding this blog, do not despair...there should be more activity here soon...stay tuned for days 9-40!!...coming soon to an xanga near you!!...

...

also, i thought of something on day five...where it says life is a test...i didn't actually see that backed up by scripture... *hmm*

i've been taking this critical thinking class, and i've learned some new techniques for when i'm reading things...i'm not totally sure if i like those new techniques...but, they do help me see things from different angles and it's helping me not to take everything quite at face value...

anyhow...uhh, there should be more stuff from linda and i soon, so keep watching!!...

i'm really not feeling well at all this evening...my ears are hurting really bad - it almost feels like someone's stabbing knives in them...and my eyes feel the same way, and my head just totally hurts...so i'm going to go to bed early...i'll try and make it up tomorrow...

...i did go into town today, though, and got my tall hiking boots so wednesday i should be out of the walking cast...that's a plus...

day eight...

purpose #1 you were planned for God's pleasure.

Point to Ponder: "I was planned for God's pleasure."

Verse to remember: "The Lord takes pleasure in His people." Psalm 149:4a (TEV)

Question to Consider: What common task could I start doing as if I were doing it for Jesus?

...heh...probably cleaning my room...it's  work in progress...

Day Seven - The Reason For Everything

We were made to bring glory to God.

How can we bring glory to God?

We bring God glory by worshiping Him.

We bring God glory by loving other believers.

We bring God glory by becoming like Christ.

We bring God glory by serving others with our gifts.

We bring God glory by telling others about Him.

WHAT WILL YOU LIVE FOR?

who are you going to live for? yourself or God?

(no man can choose two masters!!)

Point to Ponder: It's all for Him.

Verse to Remember: "For everything comes from God alone. Everything lives by His power and everything is for His glory."

Question to Consider: "Where in my daily routine can I become more aware of God's glory?"

Day Six

Thinking about my purpose

Point to Ponder: This world is not my home

Verse To Remember: "So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Cor. 4:18, NIV

Question to consider: How should the fact that life on earth is just a temporary assignment change the way I am living right now?

...

i guess when i take into consideration the fact that life is also a test and a trust, when i think about thsoe thins, i guess i should start being a better steward of all the things God has placed in my life -- my house, my family, my friends, my church, my classes...i guess i should start treating them like what they are -- gifts from Him...and i should stop choosing my own way...i have recently blown off what i knew what the truth -- His truth -- and done my own thing...afterwards, i didn't really feel conviction quite as much as i just felt a sadness - like, His sadness for me....and that was almost worse than the conviction i would have felt...

i guess i need to start thinking of the effects of my actions more than i have been...
